New Altar Server Garments

As our wonderful altar servers assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Church invites them to dress in a way that reflects the sacred ministry that they perform. At this time, many of our altar server albs are in poor condition and in need of replacement.

After much prayer, we have chosen to purchase cassocks and surplices for our altar servers, the traditional black for males and white for females. These traditional vestments remind us that the Catholic Mass is a profound encounter with the heavenly realm, where heaven and earth meet, time intersects with eternity, and the faithful participate in Christ's eternal sacrifice, uniting with angels and saints in worship through the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

In order to accommodate the various ages of servers, we will need to purchase 30 garments between our two churches at the cost of about $130 per cassock/surplice.

If you would like to make a Donation or Sponsor a garment in Honor or in Memory of a loved one, you may place a donation in the collection basket in an envelope marked "Altar Server Garments" and include the name you wish to acknowledge. The names of those remembered/honored will be listed in the bulletin in a few weeks, at the time of purchase.
